Prayer

Once I was diagnosed with prostate cancer I started to research this disease and arm myself with as much knowledge as possible. I also from the very beginning of being diagnosed with prostate cancer sought out prayer every chance and opportunity possible, knowing by faith that this precious gift God has given us, was the supernatural medicine I needed to conquer and defeat the enemy.

The prayer team at my church have faithfully and unselfishly been praying for my health and strength, diligently for the past year. I have gone to prayer nights, called them into my home and also prayed over the phone, when I felt that I needed the LOVE and fellowship of these prayer warriors healing words and touch. These moments as well as the encouraging letters and cards in the mail, each and every week kept me going each week.

As Kristen and I sat in the waiting room at OHSU Radiation Department we would see many people there alone or seemingly down. While I was receiving radiation I would pray for them as I lay on the table. Since the prayers and encouragement given to me by others has been such an important part of my healing I wanted to reach out to others in the same manner.
